If you've dreamt of SCUBA diving and wished for a class that would suit your needs, the best class available to become comfortable and learn control in the ocean is MSI's.
When you feel in control, you can then be confident, learn about equipment and learn the rules of diving. Being in control is priority Number 1 at MSI.
Give yourself the best chance to get certified. Learn to SCUBA dive the MSI way with PADI certification. Step by gentle step, we'll teach you to dive, accommodating every one of your concerns. You'll learn to be in control in the ocean, in control of your equipment, and comfortable diving, slowly and at your own pace. In a class regularly given in 4 days, MSI will guide you through the steps in 7 days, with 5 days afterward for a diving vacation in Kona to anchor your learning.

It is SO beneficial to dive right after you're certified (it makes all the difference) that we secretly hope no one takes this option!
The point of Miracle Swimming Institute's very existence is to teach you how to be safe: how to prevent panic, be in control in the ocean and to dive with calm. This is something no other school we know in the world teaches. When you apply our teaching, diving is enjoyable and as safe as safe gets. A new world opens up.
Schedule of Dive Course
Each day, we meet for up to an hour in the morning to discuss what's on your mind regarding the activities planned for that day. Then we go to the dive shop (beginning September 13). You should be thoroughly familiar with both book and dvd before we go to Kona. Do the Knowledge Reviews ahead of time. Then we'll to the pool for confined water skills for a few days. Then we begin the ocean part of the course. When we finish the ocean portion, we'll take a day off. Finally, we'll have the last 5 days for a diving vacation.
September 12, Friday: fly to to Kona, ocean review class in the afternoon
September 13, Saturday: dry land part of course
September 14, 15, 16, Sunday/Monday/Tuesday morning: pool sesssions
September 16, 17, 18, Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday/Thursday: shore dive and boat dives
September 19 day off
September 20-24: diving vacation, 2 dives/day including one two-tank night dive (afternoon and evening dives): total 10 dives
September 25: fly home

5 day dive vacation available with 10 dives including two night dives (optional): September 20-24. Arrive September 19, depart September 25. $1625 plus air fare. $1525 if you register by June 27. Registration deadline July 1.

Because here, we do things the MSI way. We take time and make sure everyone feels organized and calm. We talk about your readiness to dive and how the dive went. It's a learning opportunity as well as a vacation. It's the relaxing way to dive.
